how to fix shortcut file and retrieve hidden files

shortcut file can be a bit pain sometimes. its always happen when you insert your thumbdrive or your external Hard disk into public computer. But, as much pain as the problems had been, the solutions is quite easy. just follow this simple steps and you'll have your file as good as before.

Before anything else, make sure you scan your computer and delete all the virus that has affected your drives.

Method 1

Step 1: Enter your drive and click organize.

Step 2: Go to Folder and search options

Step 3: Go to view and choose "show hidden files, folders, and drives"

Step 4: Untick box "hide extensions for known file types"

Step 5: Click OK. a warning will popped up and just click OK.

Step 6: Your hidden file will reappears in a transparent file. Enter transparent file and copy all your wanted file and paste it on a new folder. Delete the transparent folder.

If the above step doesn't work try method 2.

Method 2

Step 1: Plug your pendrive

Step 2: Click start, in the search box type "run"

Step 3: Click run and type "cmd" and click OK

Step 4: Assume your drive letter is G. change according to your drive letter.

Step 5: Enter this command:

           attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*

     *change the letter g with your drive letter.

Your files will become unhidden in a transparent file. copy the wanted files and paste in a new folder. delete the transparent folder.
